Phillips Family Farmstead started our sheep journey in 2008, in SW PA. Our goal is to raise healthy, happy sheep that exhibit all the naturally low-maintenance traits of the Kathadin breed. Our conventional management system maintains multiple rams and a ewe flock of 60+. We perform bio-security testing on our flock annually to assure clean, healthy sheep. Utilizing Genomic EBV’s, EID technology and visual monitoring, we achieve key and crucial traits: fast-growing, heavy muscled lambs that exhibit exceptional parasite resistance. Healthy, happy sheep will produce a mild, delicious tasting lamb and productive breeding stock. And that’s what it’s all about!
